H:f stands for help footer. It is a system of templates that render help footers in the various namespaces for help (or how-to) pages. For details see page footer templates.

The behaviour is configurable per namespace, e.g. Template:H:f Help displays a help navigation box after page specific content in "Template:Ph:pagename". Usage:

{{h:f|name=Name of the English Page}}

H:h Template displays this text because it belongs to the Template namespace and adds H:h templates to Category:Template documentation. Its counterpart is H:h Template
