Here is the DOST v5 rules. DOST stands for Dark Omen Standard Tournament. Without these restrictions people tend to field cheap, powerful but unbalance units to do a "charge and win" brawl.[1]

Dwarfs
3000 point/gold Army - Dwarf Miners
- 1 Siege unit limit
- 1 Allied units allowed
- You must have 4 units fielded on the battle
- No ally wizards allowed
- No unit may start over level 1
5000 point/gold Army - Dwarf Town Garrison
- 1 Siege unit limit
- 2 Allied units allowed
- You must have 6 units fielded on the battle
- No ally wizards allowed
- No unit may start over level 2
7000 point/gold Army - Dwarf Hold garrison
- 2 Siege unit limit
- 3 Allied units allowed
- You must have 8 units fielded on the battle
- 1 Ally wizard limit up to level 2
- No unit may start over level 3
9000 point/gold Army - Dwarf Stronghold Garrison
- 3 Siege unit limit
- 1 Siege unit minimum
- 4 Allied units allowed
- You must have 10 units fielded on the battle
- Up to 2 ally wizards with no more then a combined level of 5
Limitation
Dwarfs may only pick Humans as allies. Siege engines don't count as allied units for Dwarfs. Any selection of allies MUST be within the restrictions of the Ally except for the Must have Unit Minimums. You cannot go above any unit restriction with allied units.
Elves
3000 point/gold Army - Elf Foragers
- No monsters allowed
- No ally units allowed
- 2 min/max units
- No ally wizards allowed
- No unit may start over level 1
5000 point/gold Army - Glade Scouts
- You use the 3000 gold selection to make a 5000 gold elf army
- No monsters allowed
- No ally units allowed
- You must have 5 units fielded on the battle
- No ally wizards allowed
- No unit may start over level 1
7000 point/gold Army - Glade Guards
- You use the 5000 gold selection to make a 7000 gold elf army
- No monsters allowed
- 2 Allied units allowed
- You must have 7 units fielded on the battle
- 1 Ally wizard limit up to level 2
- No unit may start over level 2
9000 point/gold Army - Wild Hunt
- You use the 7000 gold selection to make a 9000 gold elf army
- 1 Monster limit
- 3 Allied units allowed
- You must have 9 units fielded on the battle
- Up to 2 ally wizards with no more then a combined level of 3
- No unit may start over level 3
Limitation
Wood elfs may only pick humans as allies. You cannot go above any unit restriction with allied units.
Humans
3000 point/gold Army Human - Probing/Village Garrison
- No siege unit allowed
- No wizards allowed
- 1 Flagellent limit
- 1 Ogre limit
- No ally units allowed
- You must have 5 units fielded on the battle
- No unit may start over level 1
5000 point/gold Army Human - Raiding Party/Keep or small City Garrison
- 1 Siege unit limit
- 1 Wizard limit up to level 2
- 2 Flagellent limit
- 2 Ogre limit
- 1 Allied unit limit
- You must have 7 units fielded on the battle
- No unit may start over level 2
7000 point/gold Army Human - General Battle Group/Large City Garrison
- 2 Siege unit limit
- Up to 2 wizards both combined not exceding level 3
- 3 Flagellent limit
- 4 Ogre limit
- 4 Allied units limit
- You must have 9 units fielded on the battle
- No unit may start over level 3
9000 point/gold Army Human - Assault Army/Capitol City Garrison
- 3 Siege unit limit
- Up to 3 wizards with no more then a combined level of 5
- 4 Flagellent limit
- 8 Ogre limit
- 5 Allied units allowed
- You must have 10 units fielded on the battle
- You may have any level unit (see wizard limits) on the field
Limitation
Humans may pick either Elfs or Dwarfs. Humans may pick both Dwarfs AND elfs. the Selection MUST be within the restrictions of the ally. You cannot go above any unit restriction with allied units.
Undead
3000 point/gold Army - New necromancer/Probing Force
- No siege unit allowed
- No monsters allowed
- 1 Wizard Limit up to Level 1
- No Wraths, Whights, Mummies, vampires, or Black Grail Knights Units Allowed. You must have at least 7 units in your army
- No unit may start above level 1
5000 point/gold Army - New Necromancer
- No siege unit allowed
- 2 Monster limit
- 1 Wizard Limit up to level 2
- 1 Vampire Limit up to level 1 but still in the wizard restrictions No Wraths, Mummies, or Black Grail Knights Units Allowed You must field at least 8 Units on the field of battle
- No unit may start over level 2
7000 point/gold Army - Avrage Necromancer's Horde
- 1 Siege Unit Limit
- 3 monster limit
- 1 Black Grail Knight Unit Limit up to 2 Wizards both combined not exceding level 3 Vampire Level Limit level 2 but still in the wizard restrictions You must field 10 units minimum in your army
- No unit may start out higher then level 3
9000 point/gold Army Undead - Undead Horde
- 3 Siege Unit limit
- 4 Monster limit
- 2 Black Grail Knight Unit Limit up to 3 Wizards with no more then a combined level of 6 You must have 10 units fielded on the battle. You may have any level unit (see wizard limits) on the field
Orcs
3000 point/gold Army Orc - Band/Advanced Foragers
- No siege unit allowed
- 1 Monster limit
- No Shamen allowed
- No Big'un units Allowed
- You must have at least 5 units in your army
- No unit may start above level 1
5000 point/gold Army Orc - Raiding Party/Large Band/Small Tribe
- 1 Siege Unit is allowed in army
- 2 Monster limit
- 1 Shamen limit up to level 1
- 1 Big'un Unit limit
- You must field at least 7 Units on the field of battle No unit may start over level 2
7000 point/gold Army Orc - Tribe
- 2 Siege Units are allowed
- 3 monster limit
- 1 Shamen limit up to level 2
- 1 Big'un Unit limit
- You must field 9 units minimum in your army

9000 point/gold Army Orc - Large Tribe/Small Waaagh
