I'm sorry but I really don't understand the question or the data you've posted? :( Mikademus 12:16, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

By increasing the Tutorial Map Size, Sight Edge and Battle Edge, allows troops to walk off map or onto new flat terrain but the camera won't follow them any further than the original map.

However i have found by using the Black Pyramid's BASE.M3X (a "chunked/grid" of its own BASE.M3D) in place of the Tutorial's original BASE.M3X (still leaving its original BASE.M3D)it allows the camera to travel much further. This is because the Tutorial map dimensions are 18x18 and the Black Pyramids are maybe 28x28 terrain blocks (grid/chunk in M3X).

Unfortunately being the Black Pyramids BASE.M3X file, it also distorts the Tutorial Map's terrain into Pyramids but can be walked through since its using all the other original Spare9 files, like the modified BTB and .PRJ (new Furn Inst scenary flat terrain models) http://forum.dark-omen.org/moderators/new-beta-custom-mod-maps-t723.0.html;msg7379#new

So by either blanking(flattening) the data in the Black Pyramids BASE.M3X so it doesnt distort the Tutorials BASE.M3D terrain into Pyramids but still allows a large camera roam -

Or

By increasing the existing amount of data blocks (Boxes and Ledges) in the original Spare9 BASE.M3X file so it is fooled into thinking its dimensions are now twice as large. 36x36 instead of 18x18. If any pattern/sequence can be determined and then continued further to add more Boxes of data, since all Flat terrain.

Then it would allow the camera to roam twice as far, inline with the Troops now being able to travel further onto new Flat terrain blocks(via BTB editor)

Question -> Could this be a temporary solution to a new large flat map, as it doesn't require modding of the TERR or ATTR blocks in its .PRJ file until future modding of Height maps can be done? Or is it even harder to mod a BASE.M3X file and wondered if this idea had any merit?

" It's so Crazy it might Just Work"

Ive redone the post but sorry its probably just as bad
